You are lucky and you win. What's next?

In contrast to the programs of previous years, the rules of the program DV-2014 does not provide for notice of winning people. You will have your own with 1 May 2013 to go to the U.S. State Department's website and by entering the unique number to see the result of the participation of your application.

The continued success of the entire enterprise to a large extent depends on how quickly and efficiently you will prepare the necessary documents.

The kit includes the necessary documents immigration forms, namely form OF-230, Parts 1 and 2 (Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration) form DSP-122 (additional registration to participate in the lottery), in which you will need to provide information Education, work experience and the supposed site of the interview.

Pay special attention to some of the questionnaire. When asked about the time and dates of your previous stay in the United States is a very detailed answer - showing all the visits to America, their timing and even types of U.S. visas, the owner that you are. Responding to a question about your education, list all kinds of education you received in addition to the mean, the obligatory presence of the conditions demanded by the Lottery. Do not be put off by the question of your address in the U.S. or your relatives with whom you are going to reunite. In the case of this program this question does not apply to you, so you can bet in the box dash or nothing to write about. When asked about the expected duration of your stay in the U.S. safely answer "permanently" as Green Card, you expect to get a result, it is intended. Do not forget also that the forms should be completed by all members of your family who are going to move with you to America. By law, those may be the husband / wife of the principal applicant and unmarried children under the age of 21 years. Profiles of family members must be signed personally by them.

We should also talk about the place of the interview, which each has won the right to call himself. By law you have the right to be interviewed either in the U.S. consulate abroad or at offices of Citizenship and Immigration Services United States (USCIS) directly in America. The second option is practiced infrequently - those who have received notification of a prize, already being in the U.S. (at work, treatment, study, at home). Of course, it does not make sense to spend money for the sake of the interview and the time to return home. If you - one of those "chosen", then you should immediately notify the CCC that you want to be interviewed (ie, change your status from nonimmigrant to immigration) in the United States in one of the offices of USCIS. But the vast majority of winners, of course, pass an interview at home.
Completed application forms must immediately send to the Kentucky Consular Center. Recall that to obtain an immigrant visa can only be within the fiscal year following the year of the Lottery. So you need as quickly as possible to send documents to the CCC and the end of September 2014 to pass an interview. Otherwise, your prize is canceled.

Do not miss the sight of another fact. Immediately prior to the interview at the embassy every winner has to pay for participation in the state lottery. a fee of $ 819 to each family member. Accepts payments directly to the Consular Section of the American Embassy (in U.S. dollars). Note: The fee this year may change.

Once the questionnaires sent to the CCC, you can only hope that you will quickly deployed, and that your documents get into the top 50 000 applications, which will make available an interview. The waiting time should be spent on the collection of documents for the final interview.
